ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
Amy Havens is a New Jersey based visual artist and beach bum who makes frequent appearances as a book store clerk, mainly to support an addiction to glitter glue and shrinky dinks. Most of her art addresses multiple dichotomies – the divergences between craft and art, commercial and fine, childhood naivety and adult sophistication. Many works carry a feminist undertone that hopes to nudge people into reconsidering their ideals of womanly beauty and duty.
