Artist in Residency
The Artist in Residency Award is Sponsored by Key Bank
A $500.00 cash stipend was presented to the Amy Havens to cover living expenses for one week while serving the residency at the Universities. An additional allowance for sculpture materials will be given to the lab to accommodate the sculptors art supply needs.

A portion of Amy Havens resume:
"The better part of my career in sculpture has been devoted to the work of others. For more than 10 years, I have painted and patinated, welded and chased, fabricated and conserved works by some of this country’s greatest sculptors, living and dead. It has been my pleasure to work with the likes of George Segal, Kiki Smith, Charlie Ray, Red Grooms, J. Seward Johnson, Marisol, and many others. This has been very rewarding work and has given me a critical and discerning eye for the art and craft of sculpture."

Amy will concentrate her residency on sculpture patinas.

The Perrysburg Area Arts Council's "Artist in Residency" component of the sculpture exhibit is a unique collaboration with the sculpture departments of The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. Both universities will utilize the selected artists expertise in the Sculpture Lab as a speaker and a working artist to expand the university sculpture students awareness and understanding of the guest sculptors abilities. The students will work with the artist within the lab setting with a focus to be determined by Tom Lingeman of The University of Toledo, Shawn Morin of Bowling Green State University, and the guest sculptor.
